Hi. I am on sole parenting payment and have a plan with my job network to search for 12 jobs per month, and I have an appointment once per month. I told my contact at Neato I'll be away interstate on holiday for 13 days over Christmas. They made a note I'll be away and shifted my appointment to the day after my return. Today they sent an SMS reminding me of my original appt tomorrow (when I'm still away). I phoned and she threatened to suspend me from payment for not attending. Why must every person in Neato want to have an argument and make things way more difficult than it needs to be? Apparently I should have applied to Centrelink for an exemption from reporting whilst I am away. However when I did my phone report I'm certain the auto voice said as it's Christmas no activity was required. Can anyone clarify?
