Hi all, this is my first time on here. I'm a recently separated 42 year old mum of toddler twins. I've moved 400km away from where we were and resettled in a town where I didn't know anyone so, needless to say, it's been a busy few months! I don't have any family or friends nearby for babysitting etc but I never have had so I'm pretty used to doing this alone. At the moment my ex isn't seeing the children at all and is being difficult but in time i expect this will all sort out and he will visit. So. ...not really sure what else except to ask if there are any other older mums of little ones on here?

I also am a 42 year old single mum with a 7 year old and a 2 year old, living in Melbourne. It's tough, running around with a two year old. I've chosen to be a stay at home mum at the moment as I also have little support and want to be there for my children. The children's father is absent so I do not get weekend breaks too. Once they start school, it does get a little easier.

I'm also an older mum of toddler twins. I identified very much with your post NAT256 because I'm also about to embark on moving to a different part of Victoria where I know nobody! Its kind of daunting and scary, but I really want the three of us to have a fresh start. How have you coped since your original post?
